COVID-19 Update
· Arbor Computers
During the early COVID-19 disruptions, organizations relied increasingly on remote access, collaboration tools, and dependable IT support to continue working.
Technology considerations for working remotely
In April 2020, many workplaces had to adapt to changing locations and workflows. The same fundamentals help protect business operations during any prolonged disruption:
Secure access to work systems
Use trusted remote-access tools, multi-factor authentication, and the minimum access each person needs. Avoid exposing Remote Desktop directly to the public internet. Confirm that staff know how to contact IT when access fails.
Protect devices and communication
Keep computers, browsers, and security software updated. Be cautious with unexpected links and attachments, especially messages claiming urgent account or policy changes. Use approved services for business communication and sensitive files.
Keep backups recoverable
Maintain protected backups of essential business information and test that files can actually be restored. Document who can reach critical applications and what the team will do during an outage. Our backup and recovery services page explains current options.
