By purchasing a product, authorizing service, leaving equipment with Arbor Computers, or using ArborComputers.com, you agree to the applicable policies below.

Sales, Returns & Exchanges
2. All Sales Are Final
All sales are final. Arbor Computers does not accept returns or provide refunds for products that are no longer wanted, ordered incorrectly, incompatible due to customer-provided information, or returned because of a change of mind or preference.
Customers are encouraged to confirm compatibility, specifications, and requirements before purchasing products or approving special orders.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
3. Defective Products
If a product supplied by Arbor Computers has a covered defect, the customer should contact Arbor Computers promptly.
Arbor Computers may inspect and test the product to verify the reported problem.
If the product is determined to have a defect covered by the applicable warranty, Arbor Computers may, at its discretion:
- Exchange the product for the same item;
- Exchange it for a reasonably comparable replacement if the same item is unavailable;
- Repair the defective product; or
- Replace the defective component.
Defective merchandise is not eligible for a cash refund solely because a return is requested.
If another remedy is required by applicable law, Arbor Computers will comply with that requirement.
Proof of purchase may be required.
30-Day Limited Warranty
4. Parts and Labor Coverage
Arbor Computers provides a 30-Day Limited Warranty on parts supplied by Arbor Computers and labor performed by Arbor Computers, unless different written warranty terms are provided for a particular product or service.
The warranty period begins on the purchase or service-completion date shown on the applicable Arbor Computers invoice.
During the warranty period, Arbor Computers will address a covered defect in an Arbor Computers-supplied part or a covered problem resulting from Arbor Computers' workmanship without an additional charge for the covered warranty repair.
At Arbor Computers' discretion, warranty service may consist of:
- Repairing the covered problem;
- Reperforming the covered labor;
- Replacing the defective part with the same part; or
- Replacing it with a reasonably comparable part when the original part is unavailable.
Replacement parts or corrective work provided under warranty do not restart or extend the original 30-day warranty period unless Arbor Computers expressly states otherwise in writing.
5. What the Warranty Covers
The 30-Day Limited Warranty applies to:
- Parts sold and supplied by Arbor Computers that experience a covered defect during the warranty period; and
- Labor performed by Arbor Computers when the original repair requires correction because of Arbor Computers' workmanship.
The warranty applies only to the original covered repair, service, or part.
A new, separate, or unrelated problem is not considered warranty service merely because it occurs within the 30-day warranty period.
6. Warranty Exclusions
The 30-Day Limited Warranty does not cover problems or damage caused by:
- Accidents, drops, impacts, or physical damage;
- Cracked, bent, broken, or damaged components occurring after service;
- Liquid, moisture, fire, excessive heat, or environmental damage;
- Electrical problems, power surges, lightning, or improper power sources;
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper operation;
- Normal wear and tear;
- Viruses, malware, ransomware, compromised accounts, or other cybersecurity incidents occurring after service;
- Software installed, removed, modified, or updated after the original repair;
- Operating-system updates, driver updates, third-party software, or compatibility issues unrelated to the original repair;
- Failure of a component that Arbor Computers did not repair or replace;
- Customer modifications made after service;
- Overclocking or operation outside manufacturer specifications;
- Repairs, modifications, disassembly, or attempted repairs performed by another person or company after Arbor Computers completes the service; or
- Events or circumstances outside Arbor Computers' reasonable control.
Warranty eligibility is determined after Arbor Computers evaluates the equipment and reported problem.
Proof of purchase or the original service invoice may be required.
Customer-Supplied Parts
7. Parts Provided by the Customer
Arbor Computers may agree to install a part supplied by a customer.
Customer-supplied parts are not covered by Arbor Computers' parts warranty.
Arbor Computers does not warrant the quality, condition, compatibility, reliability, authenticity, or performance of customer-supplied parts.
Any warranty on a customer-supplied part is the responsibility of the manufacturer, retailer, or other party that supplied the part.
If Arbor Computers installs a customer-supplied component, Arbor Computers' 30-day labor warranty applies only to Arbor Computers' installation workmanship and does not cover failure caused by the customer-supplied component itself.
Manufacturer Warranties
8. Manufacturer Coverage
Some products and components may include a manufacturer's warranty extending beyond Arbor Computers' 30-Day Limited Warranty.
Manufacturer warranties are governed by the manufacturer's own terms, exclusions, procedures, and warranty periods.
Arbor Computers may assist with a manufacturer warranty claim when appropriate but does not control the manufacturer's approval, replacement decision, product availability, shipping, or processing time.
Custom Computers & Special Orders
9. Custom-Built Computers
Custom computers are assembled according to specifications, components, performance requirements, and pricing approved by the customer.
Once components have been ordered or assembly has begun, custom-built computers and components purchased specifically for the build are final sale and cannot be returned for a refund.
Covered defective components may be repaired or exchanged under the Arbor Computers 30-Day Limited Warranty or an applicable manufacturer warranty.
Changes requested after components have been ordered may result in additional costs.
10. Special-Order Products
Products ordered specifically for a customer are final sale and non-returnable once ordered, unless Arbor Computers agrees otherwise in writing.
If a special-order product is defective, Arbor Computers will address the defect according to the applicable warranty and exchange policy.
Computer Repair & Service
11. Authorization to Perform Service
By leaving equipment with Arbor Computers, requesting remote assistance, or authorizing onsite work, the customer authorizes Arbor Computers to perform reasonable diagnostic procedures necessary to identify the reported problem.
Once repairs, parts, upgrades, or other work have been approved, the customer authorizes Arbor Computers to perform that work.
If Arbor Computers discovers a materially different problem or determines that additional work is required beyond the approved scope, additional customer authorization may be requested before performing additional chargeable work.
12. Estimates
Estimates are based on the information available when the estimate is prepared.
Computer and electronic-device problems may reveal additional issues during diagnosis, disassembly, testing, or repair.
If the required work materially changes, Arbor Computers may provide an updated estimate and obtain authorization before performing additional chargeable work.
13. No-Fix, No-Fee Repair Guarantee
For repair services specifically covered by Arbor Computers' advertised no-fix, no-fee guarantee, if Arbor Computers is unable to repair the problem presented and accepted for covered repair service, the customer will not be charged for the unsuccessful covered repair labor.
Unless expressly included in the no-fix, no-fee offer, the guarantee does not automatically waive charges for:
- Parts or products separately authorized by the customer;
- Diagnostic services for which a separate diagnostic charge was disclosed and authorized;
- Data-recovery attempts or data-recovery services;
- Shipping, software licenses, subscriptions, or third-party charges; or
- Other separately authorized products or services.
Any such charge will be disclosed or authorized as applicable.
The no-fix, no-fee repair guarantee is separate from the no-return policy applicable to merchandise.
Customer Data & Devices
14. Back Up Important Data
Customers are responsible for maintaining a current backup of important information before submitting equipment for service.
Computer repair may involve failing hardware, storage-device problems, malware, operating-system issues, data corruption, software conflicts, or other circumstances that create a risk of data loss.
Unless backup or data-recovery service is specifically included in the authorized work, Arbor Computers is not responsible for creating a backup before beginning service.
Customers should notify Arbor Computers before service if a device contains particularly important or irreplaceable information.
15. Access to Customer Devices
To diagnose or repair a computer, device, account, server, or network, Arbor Computers may require reasonable access to:
- Operating systems;
- User accounts;
- Files or folders;
- Installed applications;
- System settings;
- Networks;
- Storage devices; or
- Other technical information necessary to perform the requested service.
Arbor Computers will access customer systems and information only as reasonably necessary to diagnose, perform, test, verify, secure, or support the authorized work.
Customers should provide only passwords and credentials necessary for the requested service.
Customers may change their passwords after service is completed.
16. Data Loss and Recovery
Arbor Computers takes reasonable care when handling customer equipment and data, but computer repair and data recovery inherently involve risk.
Arbor Computers does not guarantee that lost, deleted, corrupted, encrypted, physically damaged, or otherwise inaccessible data can be recovered.
No technology service can guarantee that a repaired system will never experience another hardware failure, software problem, data-loss event, or security incident.
Malware & Cybersecurity Services
17. Security Services
When Arbor Computers performs virus removal, malware removal, security remediation, cybersecurity work, or compromised-account assistance, Arbor Computers will use reasonable professional efforts to identify and address the reported problem.
Arbor Computers does not guarantee that:
- Every malicious file or threat will be detected;
- Every compromised account can be recovered;
- Every security vulnerability can be identified;
- A compromised system can always be completely restored; or
- A computer, account, device, or network will never experience another security incident.
Customers remain responsible for following recommended security practices, including maintaining appropriate backups, installing updates, using strong authentication, and following applicable security recommendations.
Payment
18. Payment for Products and Services
Payment is due according to the applicable invoice, estimate, work order, service agreement, or other written terms.
Customers are responsible for approved:
- Labor;
- Parts;
- Products;
- Software and licenses;
- Subscriptions;
- Third-party services; and
- Other authorized expenses.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Arbor Computers may retain possession of repaired equipment until authorized amounts due for the work are paid.
Pickup & Unclaimed Equipment
19. Completed and Unclaimed Equipment
Customers should pick up equipment within 30 days after Arbor Computers notifies the customer that the equipment is ready for pickup.
Arbor Computers may make reasonable attempts to contact the customer using the phone number, email address, mailing address, or other contact information provided by the customer.
The 30-day pickup period does not mean that ownership of the equipment automatically transfers to Arbor Computers after 30 days.
For repaired property with unpaid authorized charges, Arbor Computers may retain the equipment and exercise applicable lien, collection, storage, or other rights available under Michigan law.
Where applicable law permits the sale or other disposition of property subject to an unpaid repair lien, Arbor Computers will follow the legally required waiting period, notice procedure, and other required steps before any sale or disposition occurs.
Fully paid but unclaimed property will not be considered transferred to Arbor Computers merely because the requested pickup period has passed. Any eventual handling or disposition of such property will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
Customers are responsible for keeping their contact information current while equipment remains in Arbor Computers' possession.

Arbor Computers provides technology services to businesses that may include healthcare, dental, and other organizations subject to privacy or security requirements.
Where Arbor Computers performs services that make it a business associate under HIPAA, and a Business Associate Agreement is required, Arbor Computers will enter into an appropriate Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with the covered entity.
BAAs are available for qualifying client relationships upon request.
When Arbor Computers receives or accesses protected health information in its capacity as a business associate, such information will be accessed, used, or disclosed only as permitted by the applicable BAA, applicable law, and as reasonably necessary to perform the authorized services.

Where a separately executed written agreement conflicts with these general policies, the applicable written agreement controls.
